We Transform One Experience at a Time
Finding truth in the shadow
A Thought on The Algarve Cliffs
Every experience contains an energy that imprints upon us a memory that gives birth to feelings, emotions, patterns of thought and behaviors. Each experience has a dynamic energy or life of its own and cumulatively it becomes the story we tell ourselves of our life.
If your process is one of pushing away some aspect of your life experience or what we often call “letting go”, whatever “it” is will hide in the darkest recesses of your subconscious where you can no longer see it. From this shadow place it will hold power over you. You won’t even recognize that it is at work. Suddenly you begin to wonder why something keeps happening “to you” over and over again. This stealth energy, which is more like a living entity, is exerting its influence through the memories held captive within it.
Try as you might to rationalize your actions the shadow will hide the truth of what is behind the repetitive experiences. The only way to transform this energy is to bring it into the light thereby transforming its negative charge into a positive charge that can be used to create a new way of being in relationship to your life. Revealing the shadow aspects will change the narrative of your life.
This requires a journey inward and brutal honesty with yourself. What about your life experience gave birth to this dynamic?
Explore that. Accept that. Integrate that.
“Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.” ~ Carl Jung
Integrate the experience, don’t push it away because it causes you discomfort or it challenges what you believe about yourself. It has something to teach you if you are bold enough to enter into a conversation with it.
Strive for wholeness and do not allow yourself to disintegrate into fragments of good or bad.
Do the work you need to do in order to bring unity and sacredness to the whole of your life experience so you can free your spiritual essence within.

Lovely and sooo needed these days. Thank you for your thoughtfulness and compassion for our planet and its life forms.
I believe this. It’s been so uncomfortable, even painful for me to let those shadows be heard, but so freeing.
